Roberta Lewusz, MC, LPC, NCC
Roberta Lewusz graduated from the State University of New York at Utica/Rome in 1977 with a Bachelor's degree in Human Services.
In 1987, the Lewusz
family moved to Tucson to leave the cold New York winters far away.
Roberta's first Tucson job in her field was as a social service assistant at La Colina, a skilled nursing facility. She moved on to Carondelet Holy Family as the
Director of Social Services. Later, she obtained her Nursing Home Administrator's license and was promoted to the Assistant Administrator of Holy Family. When Carondolet
decided to develop a hospital based skilled nursing facility at Carondolet St. Joseph's Hospital, Roberta was promoted to Program Director and charged with the task
of bringing a unit to full licensure. This was accomplished and the unit was successfully opened.
In 1995, Roberta left Carondolet for Health South Rehabilitation
Hospital, where she stayed for four years. During this time, she also began her graduate work at the University of Phoenix. She obtained her Master's degree in Counseling
in 1999 and obtained her clinical hours for certification as a professional counselor at Sierra Tucson, Turning Point Counseling, and Copper Communities Resource and
Development. She and co-founder, Mark Nichols, teamed up together in 2000 to open up the Center for Life Skills Development.
